I went to the garden shop a couple of weeks ago and I learned so much about planters that I thought I would share my new wisdom. Every planter should have a thriller, a filler, and a spiller. Here I used fountain grass for the thriller. Basically anything that gives height. For fillers I used pink geraniums and coleus. Coleus can also be a thriller if you don't pinch the ends off to encourage it to fill out wider instead of taller. For the spiller I used Creeping Jenny, also called Moneywort. I can't wait until it's time to plant again next year, I got lots of ideas!

Beautiful arrangement! I have a pot in the front that meets these specs!
(if I can keep it watered enough with this freaking HEAT!)
Strong Work!
