Marathon Mark Finishes His Third

Mark ran the Chicago Marathon on Sunday!
He finished 26.2 miles in 3 hours, 44 minutes and 48 seconds. His best time yet. I'm so *sniff* proud!
Here he is about 20 minutes post race. Lookin pretty good, huh?
I really think he goes for the free beer. The t-shirt's nice too. And the medal.
Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa B. who watched the boys, Mark and I got to enjoy the weekend by ourselves in the Windy City.We met my cousin Desty and Adam for Italian. We ate Chicago style pizza, of course, and on date night we ate sushi and drank wine. Like we used to. Before we had kids that don't eat sushi. {Yet.} We did some shopping. Mark had his name written on a window right on Michigan Avenue. See this advertisement at Niketown? The gray backround is comprised of the 45,000 names of the runners in small print. Mark is pointing to his name.
See?
Pretty cool.
It was a great experience. The race was well run (no pun intended), the course was beautiful, the weather was perfect (cool and sunny), and the atmosphere was exciting. There were 45,000 athletes and 1.5 million spectators. We got to enjoy the city for a couple of days. And then we got to come home. With our boys and our dog. And that was the best part.
