On Memorial Day last Monday we went to Ames for a barbeque at one of Mark's coworkers' home. Before the party we visited Reiman Gardens to check out the Big Bug exhibit. It was warm and breezy, but we love the gardens and the boys love being outside. {You may remember a previous post about our spring visit to the gardens 2 years ago.} First stop: the Butterfly Conservatory. Look at this fabulous specimen, the Atlas Moth.

Next we explored the gardens and found lots of BIG BUGS!

Praying Mantis:
Gigantic mosquitoes that would suck the blood right outta your neck:
Or even your head!
The gardens are a great place to follow a maze,
Hang out,
Or stop right where you are and dig in the dirt.
And, you never know who you might meet along the way!
