Last night we returned from a quick vacation in the Ozarks. We went to Bella Vista, Arkansas to visit our friends from Hawaii who recently moved there to retire. Marion was our realtor when we bought our condo in Hawaii, and she and Art adopted us while we where there. They are a fun couple to be around and we had a great time! It's a beautiful area and they just built a lovely new home. We were able to boat, fish, swim, wine, dine, and play while we were there. On the evening of the 3rd we watched the fireworks over the water from their boat. It was a perfect evening. On the 4th we went in to Bentonville, home of Walton's Five and Dime, shown below. AKA: the original Wal-Mart.
They had a Kiddie parade and there were tons of kids with decorated bicycles, wagons and scooters. We had to join in! Jacob and Ryan in Art and Marion's garden wagon:
All American Boy:
After the parade we went to the Farmer's Market and visited the town square.

Is that a doo-rag on your head? I have 2 questions....why doesn't the rest of the family have one and where can I get myself a pair of flag pants?
Looks like you had a great time! Welcome back, love the pics :)
Very cute pictures ~ I like the one of Ryan by himself.
We are only going to be about 3 hours from the Ozarks after the move... very beautiful area!
I think 4th of July was my favorite day with all of you! Yes, the photo of Ryan by himself is a classic. It tells a story.
Auntie E.......
Flag Pants were purchased in the early 90's at a swap meet around the Aloha Tower on Oahu. I've never seen a pair before or since for sale or on someone until your comment triggered the idea of where you could get a pair for yourself. Just 'google' up 'American Flag Pants' and order on line. Art's pair are the workout 50/50 polyester/cotton.
