4 Candles on His Cake

Jacob turned 4 years old on Thursday! We have had a busy week of celebrating. On Thursday we had a playdate with a preschool friend and swam in the little pool in the backyard. On Friday night we had a bonfire at Angie and Brandon's and the kids had a blast out in the country playing with their cousins. We even pitched a tent in their yard and stayed the night. On Saturday Jacob and Daddy got to go to a movie in the theater. And on Sunday we had a big birthday party! Above is Jacob's birthday party invitation, and below is the photo recap:
Thursday morning, his 4th birthday!
Jacob is really in to Superman right now so we celebrated Super style.
His party on Sunday. The weather has been gorgeous all week, so we got to fill up the pool and have a pool party!
Doesn't he look just like Superman?
Jacob and Ryan got a John Deere Gator riding toy for their birthdays. It was a complete surprise and a big hit.
I was videotaping the kids with the Gator and looked up to this image, the family looking on.
I had an excuse to bake another cake-a Superman cake, of course! It was a 3 layered chocolate cake, in case you wonder about that sort of thing.
What a great time we had at the party. We have a truly special family to celebrate with us.
Happy Birthday, Jacob! You are a special little Superman.

Hi Betsy - I have been following your blog. Looks like Jacob has the Superman version of Logan's love of Cinderella. Mike and Logan camped out in a tent in our front yard last night. Logan wore her Cinderella nightgown and Mike read her a Cinderella book by flashlight!!
